Mana Pools NP
Mana Pools NP Zimbabwe
Mana Pools National Park is one of the most iconic and pristine game parks in Zimbabwe, located in the north of the country on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. This majestic river not only provides a beautiful natural environment, but also attracts countless animals that come here to drink and graze. Mana Pools is known for its striking landscape like the ancient flood plains called ‘Mana Pools’.
Wildlife
Mana Pools is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, hippos and crocodiles. There are also more than 350 bird species, making it an excellent destination for bird watchers.
Accessibility
Mana Pools is easily accessible via the Chirundu – Harare main road. Once you reported yourself to the Marongora Parks Office and have paid the park fees, you drive through the Chimutsu gate and Nyakasikana gate into the park. The road is extremely corregated, so lower your tire pressure for some extra comfort.
Accommodations
There are several campsites in the park, both exclusive and communal. It is extremely wise to book the campsite in advance to avoid disappointments, especially in high season. The majority of the accommodations are located in the north of Mana Pools on the Zambezi River.
Parkfees
You pay the entrance fee for Mana Pools in advance when booking, or at the parks office. The cost for international visitors with their own transportation is $20 per person and $6 per car per day..
