Hwange NP
Hwange NP Zimbabwe
Located in western Zimbabwe, Hwange National Park extends over a vast area of approximately 14,650 square kilometers and is the largest national park in Zimbabwe and one of the best-known game reserves in Africa. The park is known for its pristine wilderness and rich biodiversity, and it offers a spectacular experience for nature lovers and safari enthusiasts.
The landscapes range from open grasslands to dense forests and waterholes, making the park an excellent place for game drives and birdwatching. Hwange also offers opportunities for guided walking safaris and overnight stays in bush camps, giving visitors the chance to get closer to wild nature.es and camps and extends to Lake Itezhi-Tezhi. Since African Parks took over the management, the park has seen several good developments such as infrastructure improvement, but awareness of nature conservation in particular has taken flight.
Wildlife
In Hwange NP you can see a wide range of African animals in their natural habitat, including the Big Four (lions, elephants, leopards and buffalos), as well as numerous other species such as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hyenas.
Hwange is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with more than 400 bird species.
